But David's grip on his emotions starts to slip as he's obligated to stand by and watch his beloved wife date other guys, and it triggers something in him that no one would ever have expected.
Can Ara fall in love with the human David again after what he does to her, or was their love ever only a result of her attraction to his vampirism?
If you thought you knew Dark David, you're still to meet the cold, human version in this gut-wrenching epilogue about fighting for love when you've got nothing left to fight with.

Let me start by saying, I was one of the privileged few to receive an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.I almost dreaded reading this book. Not because I thought it would be bad, but because I didn't want the series to end. I'm extremely glad that I decided to accept the end and read it though. It's the perfect finale to David and Ara's story. After everything they've been through, they deserved to tell their story their way, and they have. People who haven't read this series may find it odd that I am referring to the characters as if they were real people. Trust me. Once you read this series, you will understand. Ms. Hudson doesn't write stories. She creates a world then invites you to live in it. And it is an absolute privilege to live in this world for a while. There were times I actually had to put the book down just to assure myself all was still right with the world.
It was so humbling to watch David go through all the emotions he felt. In the past novels he was always so stoic. Even to his a own detriment. So to see him actually break down, was heart wrenching but so needed. At points it almost felt like David and Ara swapped personalities. It was also nice to see how everything over the years affected others as well, especially Falcon. And, although her part in this story is minimal, seeing how the curse has affected Emily was insightful too.
I think my favorite aspect of this story is the struggle for love and normality in a world that doesn't nurture either. So many books make love look easy. This series never has, and that's still true. I loved that David and Ara had to fight to not only find the love they thought was lost, but to find a stronger version of it.
So many questions were answered in this book. A lot I didn't even realize I was asking. I don't like spoilers so I have left them out. There is, however, an event close to the end of the book that I'm hoping will eventually be the inspiration for a follow-up novel. (Hint hint). Once you read it, I'm sure you'll know what I'm referring to.
This is an absolute must read to finish this wonderfully epic journey. But, since I promised to be honest, I have to admit something. I know this is the end of this journey, but in the spirit of honesty, I sincerely hope there will be more to come. When one journey ends, another begins. I really hope another journey is just around the corner for this world and more importantly, these wonderfully lovable characters. Even when I wanted to hate certain characters because of circumstance, I truly couldn't being myself to. I love them all and will miss them.
So to sum it up, be sure to clear your calendar before starting this book because you will not want to be interrupted for anything. And prepare yourself for one heck of a book hangover. But, rest assured, the hangover is with it for sure.

Brilliant,Breathtaking and Magical! ~💫
How time has passed with Dark secrets,I have watched every one of of these magical characters grow into beautiful souls.
I have eaten up there heartache,the real raw emotion that was spilt upon the words that flowed past my eyes.
Each page unfolded with twists and turns,there were moments
I was on the edge of my seat with nerves and anxiety of what was to come next.
My heart would rise and fall as each story played out it was a creation of emotions,if it was a roller coaster it's been the wildest ride of my life!
The ride has ended and I'm choking up as I feel I'm closing a chapter in my life,closing a door on something so dear and precious to me. I have cried,laughed,felt so desperate and alone.
I felt alive,I felt a love touch my heart like no other.
For me this book in itself was magic and beautiful.
It was a honour to to experience the lives of Amara-Rose and David Knight ~
P.S My love will stay forever with you both, you truly hold a piece of my heart.

Another amazing addition to the Dark Secrets series, wrapping it all up and giving the answers I've been waiting for. I loved the whole series, and this final installment didn't disappoint! Ara is back, but she doesn't remember her past, David, her family, or any of the horrible torture she endured in Bound/Bound 2.
David is still in love with her, of course, but Ara is adamant that she's not who she was, that she's a new person, a different Ara. They fight and struggle, and of course there's the curse to deal with, where any guy with a beating heart falls in love with her, and that only helps to drive that wedge between Ara and David. She dates other boys as David sits back, doing everything he can to ruin those dates before they happen, because he can't imagine his wife being with anybody else. We see Ellora and Harry, and Falcon, Mike, Drake, Emily, Ali, and even Morgana.
Nothing more can be said without giving away spoilers, but this book was just so, so good, and it finally completed their stories and laid everything out to be understood.

I have been following David and Ara's journey from the very first Dark Secrets book. Seven books later and Bound By Secrets basically has Ara and David starting over.
Let me explain. When Ara wakes up after being regenerated, she has no memory. She literally had to learn everything all over again like a baby. She has no memory of David or their children.
Add to that the fact that David is now human and it seems that many of the roles have changed.
My heart broke for David while I was reading this book. This Ara was definitely changed and I wasn't sure if they would ever become what they once were. Add that to the heart break of her not knowing her children and it was almost hard to read. I had faith though and kept to it.
There were a lot of secrets that were exposed in this book. Many of the old faces were in it as well as some new ones.
This is a pretty long read but well worth the time.
